Hi there! My name is Meredith Obermark and I am a second-year graphic design student at Lindenwood University.
Before starting at Lindenwood last fall, I graduated from East Central College in Union, MO, with an associate's degree in general studies. Throughout my coursework there, I took many different types of classes to try and find where I fit. I realized my talent for graphic artistry through a digital design class.
I am set to graduate with my Art and Design BFA in December of 2025.
As an aspiring graphic designer, my work combines elements of creativity, originality, and overall success in the eyes of design. Not only do I aim for aesthetic achievement but also for crafting a project that creates an experience for the viewer. Through typography, color, composition, and digital tools, I aim to move ideas into compelling projects that inspire and engage. My designs are colorful and playful in a tasteful way, but I am no stranger to playing around with neutrals and grayscales. It's difficult to describe my design style shortly and sweetly. I’m constantly developing my style and discovering what does and does not work creatively for me.
Whether designing a poster, creating visual branding materials, or crafting a digital portrait, I strive to deliver functional and meaningful work. I draw inspiration from various historical and environmental sources while blending techniques and modern innovation to create fresh, dynamic, and relevant designs. It is a common practice of mine to refer to great designs of past and present, but only to inspire- never to replicate. Originality is so important in my design world.
